On behalf of Edufirst Nigeria and the Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce, I welcome you to the 2025 African Edutech conference titled “Building an Effective African Edutech Ecosystem for Global Impact.” From time immemorial, building an effective ecosystem has been at the crux of what we do, and it is our delight to harness technology to transform education and the next generation of African leaders.
Today, Africa houses over 450 million students. For a minute, think of our power with this vast number of learners. Imagine the lengths we can go to if this youthful populace can be taught qualitatively, quantitatively, and competitively against their global peers. The understanding that a functional educational ecosystem improves learning outcomes prepares learners for the future of work, and is critical for the continent’s development is why we are particular about building this ecosystem effectively.
Over the next couple of days, we will engage in a variety of discussions, panel sessions, exhibitions, and networking opportunities that are hinged on sharing experiences, and insights, and taking giant educational leaps. I am personally excited at the power of collaboration, creativity, and collective action that will be driven by this conference.
